Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Padjadjaran Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Padjadjaran Seminar on Thalassemia Management and Prevention 9 Jun 2011, 4:05 am Seminar on Thalassemia Management and Prevention On Wednesday 8 June 2011, a one day seminar of Thalassemia – the genetical disease caused by hemoglobin decrease as the globine chain forming effect –has been held. Based on the statistics of 1.751 (35%) major thalassemia patients came from West Java province, this was explained by the Ambassador of Thalassemia – Mr.Dede Yusuf – who is also the Vice Governor of West Java Province in his speech The seminar was purposed to socialize Thalassemia prevention through blood test, particularly for those who plan to get married, this is to avoid the marriage between thalassemia carriers The Faculty of Medicine UNPAD during this 3 years has done medical check up through blood test to all new students of the faculty to  check the students health condition  including early anticipation for marriage between thalassemia carriers, explained the Dean of the Faculty to the press The seminar was arranged as the faculty of medicine UNPAD care to the public health as the realization of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi or the university social responsibilities program   You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at blogtrottr.com.
